Household scenes: one of the stars of the series reveals his deep malaise

For more than a year, Laura Calu interprets Maeva, the colorful roommate of the couple formed by Raymond and Huguette in the series Scenes of households on M6. But the young woman, also at the head of a one-woman-show which is a hit, unfortunately no longer has the head to laugh. This Wednesday, May 18, she posted a very long message on her Instagram account to tell her subscribers about her terrible discomfort.

“For several years on social networks, we have accepted the unacceptable. I decided to denounce it, because I see more and more artists or influencers sinking into depression, I come out of it and I’m still fightingunfortunately I think it affects you too”, she wrote in particular, revealing that she is struggling, on a personal basis, against depression. The latter would be caused, according to Laura Calu, to pressure from social networks: “No, it’s not normal to depend on a number of people who validate us or not. No, it’s not normal that algorithms decide our life. No, it’s not normal to be able to commenting all the time. As an artist, it’s not normal that algorithms push us to create create always create more so as not to disappear from a news feed, so as not to disappear altogether. Realize that we are going straight into the wall, that we are creating a generation of depressives”.

Last March, Laura Calu had already posted a rant on her Instagram account. “Today some people told me I was beautiful, except it wasn’t me. I have dark circles, wrinkles, hormonal acne all over my face since my pregnancy, dry skin due to treatment and so on… In short, even if I feel like I’m alone in my shit, I think I’m just human like many others.
