Shower stalls tend to have moldy spots and limescale deposits. These are the most important tips for cleaning.

Nowhere is showering more beautiful than in a sparkling clean shower cubicle. Unfortunately, this is particularly prone to limescale and mold. With these three tips, cleaning can be done in no time – and even without having to dig into the chemistry kit.

This way, limescale and mold stains do not even develop

As is so often the case, it is better to be safe than sorry. It therefore makes sense to remove water droplets from tiles and glass surfaces with a shower squeegee after every shower. A microfiber cloth is suitable for the fittings. Lime and mold don't stand a chance. If both are hanging directly in the shower cubicle, the whole thing takes less than two minutes depending on the size of the shower cubicle. In the long run, it makes a real difference: it's better to invest two minutes after each shower than to scrub for a long time once a week.

Vinegar against lime and mold in the bathroom

Grandma already knew: vinegar is an absolute all-rounder in the household. Especially in the bathroom. There he tackles unsightly lime stains and mold spores. To do this, put undiluted vinegar or diluted vinegar essence on a sponge and rub over the affected areas. Then rinse with clean water and rub dry with a cloth. Don't worry about the intense smell: it will dissipate after a few minutes.

Household remedy citric acid

The juice of one lemon is enough for light limescale deposits. Citric acid in powder form is ideal for heavier stains. To do this, dissolve the powder in water according to the instructions on the package and wipe the tiles and shower cubicle. Here, too, rinse with clear water and rub dry.

The following applies to both the use of vinegar and citric acid: Some surfaces in the bathroom, such as natural stone, are sensitive. Therefore it is best to try it out beforehand on an invisible place. If silicone joints are infected with mold spores, it is often only possible to replace the entire silicone joint.
