PARIS (Reuters) – Yemen’s Houthi rebels said on Wednesday they had targeted a container ship belonging to CMA CGM in the Red Sea which they said was heading towards Israel.

The Tagus has “suffered no incident”, a spokesperson for the French maritime transport group told Reuters on Wednesday.

Iran-allied Houthi rebels who control most of Yemen have been disrupting global trade for several weeks by attacking ships transiting the Red Sea, in response, they say, to Israel’s war in Gaza. .
