Bose is back with the newest iteration of its active noise canceling headphones: the QuietComfort Earbuds II. For their release, the manufacturer offers you not a reduction, but 30 days to decide whether or not these headphones are right for you.
In terms of audio equipment, the quality of Bose products is well established. Sound quality, polished design, noble materials, autonomy or even active noise reduction, the manufacturer shines on all points and its products regularly rank at the top of the comparisons. There is still a segment on which Bose remains a tad shy: that of active noise reduction headphones. Its catalog has only one reference, the QuietComfort Earbuds, which dates from 2020.
A product that is beginning to age despite its quality, and which needed a facelift. It’s now done since Bose has just released a second version of its headphones, quite logically named QuietComfort Earbuds II (you don’t change a winning team). On the program of celebrations, a completely redesigned formula that corrects the faults of its predecessor and further improves its strengths. Enough to deserve a nice 8/10 in our columns and to rank among the best headphones of this back to school.

The King of Active Noise Cancellation is Back
As you might expect from Bose, the active noise reduction of these QuietComfort Earbuds II is extremely impressive. But could it be the same from the manufacturer who practically invented the concept, and released the first active noise reduction headphones for the general public, a little over twenty years ago?
For this second iteration of its headphones, the manufacturer has not rested on its laurels and therefore offers active noise reduction which it cheerfully qualifies as “the best on the market”. A qualifier far from being overused since these QuietComfort Earbuds II offer a reduction of 40 dB in the bass, and 27 dB in the mids (where the competition is around -20 dB).
What to offer a truly stunning sound attenuation, and rarely taken for lack. Only a few sharp, short sounds manage to pass the barrage of noise reduction when it is pushed to the maximum. In order to offer a complete experience, Bose also offers several active reduction modes (Silence or Attentive) which let the sound through more or less depending on the situation (like a transparent mode). It is also possible to simply create personalized modes according to its uses.
Bose sound in an even more compact format
For this new version of its active noise reduction headphones, Bose has significantly revised its design. If the first QuietComfort Earbuds of the name turned out to be already very impressive, they fished a tad by their relatively imposing size, especially on the side of the stem. Here, we find ourselves with headphones that have lost almost a third of their volume, and a little more than two grams on the scale.
This slimming cure also has the effect of offering headphones that are more balanced and above all, more comfortable on a daily basis. This is also one of Bose’s other hobbyhorses, which has also revised its system of attachment and tips, abandoning its traditional StayHear. Its new system, consisting of a tip and a support band, is now more flexible and able to adapt more finely to different ear shapes.
As for the sound part, well what can I say except that fans of Bose sound will not be out of place. In the great tradition of the manufacturer, these QuietComfort Earbuds II offer a sound signature with deep bass, rich mids and highs present just enough to give depth to the songs played. And for those who are not fans of this rendering, know that Bose now offers a three-band equalizer in its application, which allows you to modify the rendering of the headphones with ease.
Satisfied or refunded: Bose offers you a 30-day trial
For the launch of its QuietComfort Earbuds II, Bose does not offer any particular reduction. The manufacturer, on the other hand, invites you to try its headphones for 30 days via a “Satisfied or refunded” offer.
In order to take advantage of it, all you need to do is acquire a pair of QuietComfort Earbuds II between October 1st and December 31st of this year. If you’re happy with your purchase, great. If not, you have 30 days to go to the BoseFreeTrial site and complete your refund request.
