How do you check your Uber rider ratings?


In these times of social distancing, the explosion of teleworking or quite simply a transport strike, perhaps you prefer to organize your trip by opting for a VTC application.

The latest update to the industry’s flagship app, Uber, now allows riders to view their previous ratings.

And to improve your rating, here are five tips from drivers, interviewed by the American company.

Uber anxiety

Ever wonder why your Uber rating isn’t at least 4.9? Yet you still greet the driver, take care of your business and tip generously. So why not 5.0? Well, you’re not the only one wondering, and Uber seems determined to put an end to “Uber anxiety”.

To do this, the publisher of the eponymous application has therefore implemented this Thursday, February 17, an update for iOS and Android. This should allow users to see their previous ratings and calculate their own average.

You won’t be able to see ratings by driver and date, but you can see how many 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 stars you’ve accumulated on your rides.

How do I check my notes?

But then, how to consult your previous evaluations from the application? Here is the procedure to follow, explains the management of Uber:

  • Open the Uber app, on iOS or Android, then click your profile picture in the top right corner.
  • Go into Settings.
  • Swipe down, tap Privacythen on Privacy Center.
  • Swipe the central carousel of widgets until you find the one that asks: “Do you want to see a summary of how you use Uber?”
  • Once open, swipe down to the box Ratingsthen click View my reviews.
  • You should now see a graph quantifying all the ratings you have received in the past. Uber will only show ratings for your last 500 rides.

Driver’s advice

Along with its new feature, Uber shared five driver tips for getting a higher rating:

  • Don’t slam the door. This is the most commonly cited reason why drivers give poor ratings, because no one likes a damaged car.
  • Always clean up after your visit. The driver shouldn’t have to pick up trash or unwanted items you leave behind.
  • Always fasten your seat belt. By fastening your seat belt, the journey is safer for you and for the driver.
  • Respect the driver’s time. You need to be ready to get on the Uber when it arrives, and ready to get off when you’ve arrived at your destination.
  • Treat the driver and the car with respect. As with any customer service, you should always treat others the way you want to be treated.
