Determine nicotine dependence with the Fagerström test
The Fagerström test is a widely used diagnostic tool to determine the level of tobacco dependence of a person. It was originally developed by Karl-Olov Fagerström and consists of six questions that assess different aspects of smoking behavior.
The result of the test can help to interpret the degree of dependence and, if necessary, plan appropriate withdrawal measures, such as the dosage of nicotine replacement therapies.
