Phil Collins has not been on stage since March 2022. Now his bandmate Mike Rutherford gave a health update on TV.

Music star Phil Collins (72) has been struggling with health problems for many years. Now his Genesis bandmate and good friend Mike Rutherford (72) gave an update on the drummer and singer’s current condition in an interview on British breakfast television “BBC Breakfast”. The website “Daily Star” has already published the corresponding video. “Phil is much more immobile than before,” the guitarist confirms to the moderators. His friend is doing well at home and enjoying life.

Still, it’s a shame because Collins was in such a good mood during the last tour. But: “He’s worked so hard over the years, I think he’s just enjoying his time at home.” Phil Collins has struggled with health issues for many years. After a cervical vertebra operation in 2009, he complained of numbness in his arms and legs, which is why he can no longer play the drums.

Nevertheless Phil Collins went on extensive tours with his cult band again and again. The frontman came on stage with a walker and mostly did the concerts sitting down. In March 2022, the musician, who had recently appeared increasingly frail, announced at a tour final concert in London’s O2 Arena that the band would never perform live again.
