If it is far behind Chrome, Edge is still one of the most used browsers in the world. In order to best meet the needs of its customers, the Redmond firm regularly incorporates new features. Last April, for example, we learned that Microsoft was currently working on a brand new tool to edit and save photos and videos. Now, the American giant is thinking of a way to further incorporate Teams into Microsoft Edge.

Microsoft wants to streamline your use of Teams with Edge
In an upcoming update, Microsoft Edge users will be able to open web links from Teams chats directly from the browser. For example, if you are in the middle of a conversation with one of your work colleagues, and he wishes to share a link with you, all you have to do is click on this link for it to open in Microsoft Edge, in a window next to your Teams chat. In particular, this will help you not to lose the thread of your conversation when you consult the web content that has been sent to you from the sidebar of the browser.
Unfortunately, no screenshots have been shared yet. However, it looks like you won’t have to wait very long before you can get your hands on this feature. It should indeed begin its generalized deployment from September 2023.
