The pension reform presented this week by Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne mainly concerns age measures: lowering the legal age to 64 and extending the contribution period for the generations from 1961 to 1972. A later retirement, therefore , but by how much? The most reliable tool, to date, to get an idea of your full rate pension (or at worst at age 67) remains My retirement estimate from Info-retraite.fr, even if this simulator provides an estimate BEFORE the reform. Manual.
When you are still far from retirement age, simulating your future pension is probably not your first concern. Yet, in 10 minutes flatyou can have a precise idea of your future pension and either – option 1 – be partly reassured by the disturbing speech In any case, we will have zero pensions, or – option 2 – realize that you have to start saving for your old days.
A reformed BEFORE simulator… but still very instructive
Important note: the instructions below concern the tool my retirement estimate on the official Info-retraite.fr site, managed by the basic and complementary schemes. Or Info-retraite card any misunderstanding by clearly displaying the following point: Pension reform: this service does not take into account the rules that would apply in the event of pension reform.
Useless? Especially not! Admittedly, the amounts at the current legal age of 62 will probably quickly be wiped out… On the other hand, this tool remains the most reliable way to estimate the amount of your pension the age of the full rate and the automatic age of the full rate, 67 years old.
Please note: due to the many connections, My Retirement Account has been regularly unavailable in recent days.

How to simulate your retirement on the official website
Go to the official Info-retraite.fr website, or to the My retirement account app. To log in to Retirement Info service, no need to create an account. You can choose to access it via FranceConnect using your Impots.gouv, La Poste, or Ameli identifiers, services that are used much more regularly. All you have to do is enter your Social Security number to finalize the creation of your Info Retraite account. A space that allows you to consult your career statement.
On the home page, click My retirement estimatethen Access the simulator. A new page opens to access the simulator called M@rel. New for 2022: whatever your age, you can Go directly to my estimate, an option long reserved for those over 55. However, this quick access does not allow you to adapt your situation, for example by indicating whether you have children. Second option, more precise: simulate my retirement.
Complete your family situation: number of children and dates of birth. Then your current professional situation: working or not, part-time or full-time, private or public, self-employed or salaried, etc.) and your level of income.
Good news: in theory, your professional situation is pre-filled based on information provided by pension schemes (Cnav, Agirc-Arrco, etc.). If you need to correct or complete, please note: the gross monthly income provided only concerns your professional income (no property income, no allowances, no unemployment benefits, etc.).

The simulator gives you 3 resultswith a possible pension amount 62 years old, the current legal age for the vast majority of assets, an amount at full ratewhose age varies according to the profiles, and an estimate of your retirement 67 years old, automatic full rate age. On the right: the amount of gross monthly pensions for these three starting ages.
To get the net pension (before income tax, and therefore without taking into account source deduction or social allowances), click on the slider at the top right (see screenshot above), which changes from gray to blue by switching net before tax.
Understand your rights, terms and starting ages
The M@rel retirement simulator invites you here to decipher these estimates. Click on one of the three results: the drop-down menu details the number of quarters needed to retire this age; and he details the amount of the pension from each scheme (basic pension or supplementary pension). Do you still have questions about your departure possibilities or the amount of the estimated pension? For each result, you can click on understand in red at the top of the page.
The most telling detail is the one offered by clicking on understand my amount: the gross pension appears for each possible starting age.
An exercise that reminds us that at 62 or even 64, very often, you have not reached the full rate. Consequence: a reduction in your pension (basic and/or supplementary). Minoration which decreases then disappears by working longer…
Who has an interest in buying back quarters before retiring?
Customize my starting age
You can go further in the simulation by testing other ages. Add starting age at the bottom of the screen allows you to simulate starting at age 64 or 65, for example, or even 70 if you like far-off horizon fiction. The personalized age is added as the 4th result (and it will disappear on your next visit to the simulator).
Surprise: why does the amount of the pension continue to increase after age 67, when the full rate is definitively acquired? Because the calculation of the retirement does not take into account that the rate!
Example: concerning the basic pension (excluding additional, calculated by points) of employees in the private sector, if the rate applies to the average annual salary of the best 25 years, the calculation formula also takes into account the contribution period (duration of insurance under the general scheme). And if you work after age 67, you also continue to earn points for the supplementary scheme.
In short: continuing to work longer can make it possible to inflate other parameters, even if the full rate is acquired.
