How can we talk about stripes without mentioning the timeless sailor top that smells of the seaside. If originally, the one we also call “striped knit” made it easier to spot sailors in the 19th century and became the symbol of French elegance. This wardrobe basic can be worn with absolutely everything. For a casual look, combine this fashion essential with raw or black jeans and a pair of sneakers or even under a denim jacket. In the evening, it will pair perfectly with a pleated skirt and heels.
Stripes also adorn the pants. For a casual chic and spring look, you can combine striped linen pants with a plain top and open sandals and minimalist jewelry. Opt for the officewear trend by adopting the oversized suit with tennis stripes or the linen shirt dress. When the heat returns, we can easily adopt bold features on shorts or even skirts. Jumpsuits and overalls are also good across the board this season. Don’t be afraid to mix prints: stripes go perfectly with floral or polka dot patterns, if you stay within the same color palette.
