Buying your PC games on Steam or online while they are on Xbox Game Pass is still a shame. In order to find out which games are available on Microsoft’s service, a developer has created a browser extension.
Suppose you wanted to play Return to Monkey Island, released last September and received critical acclaim. The process is quite simple: you go to Steam and buy it. Right after that, you go to the Xbox Game Pass to play a game of Forza Horizon 5. The catastrophe ! Return to Monkey Island was actually available on Microsoft’s unlimited video game service!
A problem that has been partly solved by Lucas Romero, an Argentine developer who also calls himself Lukekix. He uploaded a browser extension that notifies you if a game is available on Game Pass.
A browser extension that will change your life
This extension is called ” Available on Game Pass and is currently only available on Google Chrome (as well as other web browsers whose extensions can be downloaded from the Chrome Web Store). Unfortunately, one can only use this tool on the web version of Steam and not in the PC application directly.

Despite this, the promise remains terribly enticing: “ know if a game on Steam is also available on Game Pass by displaying all the platforms where you can play it “. The extension goes even further since it also indicates the games that will arrive or leave the service. Waiting a few days/weeks can sometimes avoid buying a game at full price to enjoy it thanks to the subscription.
For players who subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Game Pass PC, the extension can also detect games that are available on EA Play. This Electronic Arts service offers access to a catalog of games from the publisher.
At the same time, Twitch will allow you to have a three-month trial at PC Game Pass for less than 8 euros.
The Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription brings together all of Microsoft’s gaming services. It is possible to subscribe to it for a ridiculous price, thanks to a conversion offer.
