How to become a voice actor? Two actresses give you the keys to success

How to become a dubbing actor or actress? We attempt to answer this vast question in our podcast Voix Ouf in the company of actresses Adeline Chetail and Amandine Hauguel.

How do you become an actor or voice actress? The Voix Ouf team, the AlloCiné show dedicated to French dubbing, has received numerous messages from apprentice actors wondering about the subject.

We therefore decided to devote a special episode of Voix Ouf to discuss this theme in order to answer all the questions you have. To address this subject in a pragmatic and passionate way, the show team invited two actresses with very different backgrounds: Adeline Chetail and Amandine Hauguel.

The first has been an actress since a young age and very active in the world of dubbing. She started very young by lending her voice to Jenny as a child in Forrest Gump before continuing in the world of synchro. It is she who chants the now legendary “Run, Forrest, run!” in a scene that has become cult.

Kiki the little witch, Ellie from The Last of Us games or Zelda in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, that’s her! From The Walking Dead to High School Musical via Arrietty or Nausicaä, Adeline Chetail has a rich voxography.

For her part, Amandine Haguel has a completely different background, as she explains to us in our podcast. You can hear her tone on Riley in the Super Christmas series, the Cyborg woman in Cyberpunk Edgerunners or Arabella in Little Demon.

The young woman notably broke through thanks to her vocal performances posted on social networks like TikTok. We therefore wanted to compare these two paths leading to the art of dubbing to try to best answer the fateful question: how do you become an actor or dubbing actress?
