How to build worlds for Samsung, Amazon and Co

The Metaverse left scorched earth behind. Lots of hype, bad graphics, poor usability. The result: great disappointment. Is the dream over? Not when it comes to Frank Hahn, the managing director of Rave Space.

Metaverses for Samsung, Amazon and Co.

The Berlin start-up builds virtual worlds for the really big brands. Instead of expansive, pixelated landscapes, the focus is on manageable, but respectable worlds. From down-to-earth museums to stars from other galaxies, everything is possible in virtual space.

Samsung is exhibiting its latest smartphones, Amazon has built its own museum and the Norwegian pop band KEiiNO is giving concerts in their own fantasy world.

The technical hurdles of the dream

For Frank, the main thing is to keep the hurdles for users as low as possible. In this way, the virtual worlds – in the sense of a 3D layer – can be built into any website. As a website visitor, you can then walk through the virtual worlds without registering, for example to exchange ideas with other visitors, attend an event or purchase an NFT. According to Frank, a lot still has to happen so that we can also use VR glasses in the future to enter virtual worlds.
