Think pies, quiches, flans and savory cakes

To use the few unfortunate slices of ham at the bottom of the fridge, the surplus raclette cheese, the leftover barbecue / stew / leg of beef, the four pieces of sun-dried tomatoes which are dueling, think of pies, quiches and other cakes.

Savory clafoutis will also find their place with a good green salad on your table.

The differences :
– the pie will require a dough (therefore pie). flaky, broken, all ready or do it yourself in a jiffy;
– the clafoutis or the blank will be made of eggs, but without dough. It is particularly suitable for gluten intolerants, using alternative flours or cornstarch;
– the quiche will require 2, dough and preparation with eggs.

And don't forget the omelets, which can be served in a thousand ways. They are presented in small ramekins, cooked in a double boiler on a baking sheet, so that the egg does not dry out.

It is therefore your supply of eggs and / or flour that will decide for you!

– Pay attention to the dosage of sugar and salt! Remember that the garnishes may already be sweet (in the case of fruit in syrup for example), or already sufficiently salty!

The new trend, sandwiches!

A few slices of this excellent country bread left? One of two things, either you put them in the freezer, or you make delicious sandwiches, to serve with a salad as a dish or in small pieces, for a dinner aperitif.

  • Hot: toast the bread and add melted cheese, béchamel, a poached egg, a few sautéed mushrooms, onions that have returned to a base of white wine, etc.
  • Cold: you can also toast your bread if it is a little stale, or if it is still crisp, rub it with a little garlic and add the flesh of this tomato that is lying around, like Spanish tapas. An avocado will also spread very well, but you can just as easily play with sweet for healthy sandwiches (sweet white cheese and strawberries, kiwi slices on an overripe mashed banana that will serve as a spread, etc.).

Recycle your leftovers in cash!

If you don't know what to do with your vegetables, think of smoothies, gazpachos, or even a good ratatouille (if necessary, adapt the recipe according to what you have)!

As for the fruits, do not hesitate to cook them in a compote. If they are already damaged, cut them and keep only the healthy parts, with a little vanilla, orange zest, almonds or pieces of chpcolat, guaranteed delight!
