I rely heavily on Google Calendar on a daily basis. I use it to track everything I write. I have several collaborations, with entries every day. I could associate each collaboration with a different color to incorporate the controls, but that can get confusing. Instead, I create a specific timeline for each collaboration.
Google Calendar is the free calendar service provided by Google. It allows you to create shared calendars, set notifications, schedule videoconferences with Google Meet and much more.

This allows me to show or hide any of my collaborations at any time in my calendar. In addition, each collaboration has its own color, so I can share this calendar with a client without worrying that orders or events from other clients (or from my personal calendar) will be revealed.
The use of several calendars also implies the possibility of configuring each calendar differently. For example, I may want to set up one schedule for popup notifications and another for email notifications.
If your daily life is too busy or too complex for a single calendar, you’ll be happy to know that Google Calendar makes it easy to add multiple calendars to its interface. And here’s how.
How to create a new calendar
You need an active Google account and a web browser (noting that you can’t add a calendar from the mobile app). Google Calendar is supported by almost all browsers. So you can do this from Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Vivaldi, Safari, Edge or even GNOME Web.
1. Log in to your Google account
The first thing to do is open your web browser and go to Google Calendar home page.
2. Open Settings
Next, click the Google Calendar gear icon in the upper-right corner of the window, then click Settings from the pop-up menu.

Be sure to select this new calendar for any related events, to benefit not only from better organization, but also from configurations specific to this calendar (such as notifications).
I’ve been using multiple calendars in Google for years and this has saved me time. Not only does this keep me better organized, but it also helps me not miss any collaboration or company specific events.
