How to effectively clean bathroom walls? : Current Woman The MAG

A well-done household is a complete household. In other words, it is essential not to forget anything when cleaning the rooms of the house. In the bathroom, certain elements such as the sink, the toilet or the bathtub (or the shower), need to be cleaned once or several times a week in order to avoid deposits of grime. But that’s not all. If they require much less regular maintenance, the walls of this room should not be left abandoned. We give you some tips to clean them easily without dislocating your shoulder.

Dust off the wall

The first step, and not the least, is to dust off its walls. Arm yourself with a microfiber cloth, a feather duster and a stepladder if necessary. Dust is probably the number one enemy in your bathroom. We don’t always think about it, but it lands on the walls as it would on a coffee table or on your favorite knick-knacks. This is why it is better to wage war on it fairly regularly in order to avoid developing allergic reactions or simply seeing your bathroom get dirty visibly.

Clean with vinegar

As you know, vinegar is a great ally in the natural household. It gets rid of most of the dirt and moreover it disinfects. Reason why it is perfect for the bathroom. Due to the high humidity and sometimes the lack of ventilation, mold and other bacteria are likely to grow in this room if you are not careful. If your wall is stained, use pure vinegar (undiluted) that you will sprinkle and leave to act for a few hours before rubbing with a cloth, then rinse. And if you just need to maintain it during your weekly cleaning, or to fight against lime deposits, you can mix it with a little lukewarm water and leave it on for a few minutes before wiping it off with a cloth. Not only will your wall be clean, but as a bonus it will be as shiny as it was in its early days.

The black soap trick

To preserve the shine of your pretty tiles, nothing beats washing with black soap. 100% natural, and particularly effective against traces of grease, it will not alter the material that makes up your wall. Mix it with lukewarm water, take a clean cloth or sponge and start washing your wall. Be careful not to use too much to prevent residues from lodging on your walls. Washing once is quite laborious, it would be a shame to have to iron over it a second time after all these efforts! And above all, do not forget to thoroughly clean the tile joints at the same time and add a drop of bleach if they are really very dirty.
