Dry clean or gently by hand
If your child’s toy cannot be cleaned in a washing machine or in a basin of water, all you have to do is dry cleaning. Look to eco-friendly dry cleaners that don’t use toxic chemicals.
Above all, it is important to switch off the toy if you can, remove the batteries for safety.
For small damage you can just use a microfiber towel moistened with a little white vinegar. The white vinegar will disinfect the toy. You only rub on the surface of the toy and then dry the toy with a clean towel.
When the damage is greater, other solutions are possible: you can clean the fabric toy with baking soda, a very good cleanser and flour. Place the toy in a plastic bag, add ⅔ of baking soda and ⅓ of flour and close. Mix and let it sit for at least 5 hours. After that, you can take the toy out and rub it gently to finish cleaning.
Finally, the simplest technique is with soap and water. Take a stiff-bristled brush, dip it in your soap and water mixture, and surface clean the toy. It doesn’t have to be lathered since you shouldn’t put too much. Dry with a clean towel, and you’re done!
