WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE APPLE CONFERENCE?

Apple’s end-of-year conference is always an opportunity for the American manufacturer to lift the veil on a new generation of high-end iPhone, and this time, it is the iPhone 15 which will be the stars of the event. On the program, always four models: the iPhone 15, the iPhone 15 Plus, the iPhone 15 Pro as well as the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

This year, everyone will benefit from new design introduced last year by the iPhone 14 Pro. Apple will definitively abandon the notch on its main series, equipping all models with its famous pill offering Dynamic Island functionality. The main novelty will above all be the change in connectivity, Apple finally abandoning the Lightning port in favor of USB-C. Everyone will also benefit from a 48 MP main photo sensor, enough to further erase the differences between the classic and pro models. However, the two most expensive iPhones will remain the ones that will bring the most new features, including a new titanium frame.

As is often the case, you should not expect smartphones to be released at the end of the Keynote. These will most likely be available for pre-order over the next few days, with a release planned for the end of next week, September 22. A price increase would be expected on certain models.

Apple will also introduce a brand new Apple Watch Series 9, which will as usual bring minor changes compared to the previous generation. This year, connected watches should benefit from a brand new chip, which will make them more powerful and certainly more autonomous. Unsurprisingly, we also expect to see new bracelets. These will always be available in 41mm and 45mm.

The Apple Watch Ultra will also benefit from a new version, with similar changes. Like the other new Apple Watches, it should benefit from a new heart sensorbut alsoa U2 Ultra WideBand chip which will improve location functionalities, in particular the Find My service. Apple should talk a lot about its environmental commitments, including a new manufacturing process involving 3D printing for certain watches.

Finally, we can expect new versions of some other Apple products, equipped with USB-C ports. We could find new Magic Keyboards, but above all a new case without Lightning port for AirPods.
