The closed beta phase of Overwatch 2 has started this April 27, 2022 and will continue until next May 17. To obtain the precious sesame and participate in the discovery of this new version of the Blizzard game, you had to register and hope to be selected by the game teams. Some were also able to collect Twitch drops during the launch streams. But if you haven’t obtained a key, don’t worry, other giveaways will be distributed at the launch of the new Overwatch League season.
How do I get a new Overwatch 2 beta key?
Of May 5 to 8you can retrieve a new key en watching the OWL 2022 on the official Youtube channel of the competition. You will have to watch at least an hour of competition to try to obtain one of the 1500 codes distributed each hour, or cosmetics for Overwatch. This concerns:
- May 5 from 9 p.m.: Los Angeles Gladiators vs. New York Excelsior
- May 6 from 10:30 p.m.: Vancouver Titans vs. Boston Uprising
- May 7 from 9 p.m.: Washington Justice vs. Toronto Defiant
- May 8 from 10:30 p.m.: Florida Mayhem vs. Paris Eternal
To retrieve them, don’t forget to connect your Youtube account to Battle.net beforehand.
What’s in the Overwatch 2 beta?
The beta takes the form of a playtest necessary for developers to obtain feedback from the community. She runs only on computer (console versions are planned later) and will end on May 17th. You will discover among other things the new PvP in 5v5 now, with the new heroine Sojourn and 4 new maps (Royal Circuit, Midtown, Toronto and Rome).
Players are selected based on several parameters such as account region, Battle.net registration date, or system configuration. Those affected should all be granted access to the beta from day one, but Blizzard does not rule out inviting others later.
Attention, your progress will absolutely not carry over into the final gamethe beta not being definitive.
