One UI, the interface of Samsung smartphones, is rightly very popular, but a criticism keeps coming back to it: its animations are too slow.

Far be it from us to go down this path (it also depends greatly on the device you are using, its age, etc.), but if you do find that your device is lacking a little bit, there is a very simple trick to apply, which we will explain to you here.

Step 1: enable developer options

First step, enable developer options. Here are the steps to achieve this on a Galaxy smartphone:

  1. Access the settings by pressing the cogwheel at the top of the shortcuts menu.
  2. Scroll down to find the menu About the phone.
  3. Open Software Information.
  4. Tap 7 times on ” version number“.
  5. If you have a code, your phone will ask you for it. You are now in developer mode.

To get to developer options, go back to your settings. You will find a new menu at the very bottom titled “Developer Options“.

Once inside, be careful not to activate anything, some options may interfere with the proper functioning of your device or expose your personal data.

Step 2: Speed up animations

Now we will speed up your phone animations. Galaxy smartphones are not particularly less efficient than those of other brands, they simply suffer from an interface with animations that drag a little long, to the point that on some entry-level phones, they almost give the impression to jerk.

To remedy this, you just need to change two settings in the developer options.

  • In the menuDeveloper Optionsscroll down to the options grouped under the term “Trace”.
  • There, open Window Animation Scale and Transition Animation Scale and change the setting from “x 1” to “x 0.5”.

And There you go. In principle, you should now be in possession of a much more lively device.
