  • 2 teaspoons of flax seeds

Boil the water and pour in the flax seeds. Wait until the water has reduced by half (allow about twenty minutes), then filter the seeds and reserve the liquid. Homemade lubricant recipe made from aloe vera

This recipe is taken from the website of Julien Kaibeck, president of the Slow Cosmétique Association.
For approximately 100ml of product, you will need:

  • 4 generous tablespoons of aloe vera gel
  • 5 level tablespoons bottled mineral water
  • 1 / 10th of a tablespoon (approximately 1 gram) of xanthan gum
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable glycerin
  • 6 drops of organic preservative (based on benzyl alcohol and water)

Disinfect a bowl before adding all the ingredients. Mix all the ingredients with a whisk (also disinfected) until you obtain a liquid gelatinous consistency. Transfer to a disinfected squeeze bottle using a funnel. This natural lubricant can be stored for about 3 months away from air, light and heat.

Homemade lubricant recipe made from cocoa butter

This recipe is taken from the blog Les Trappeuses. You need :

  • ½ cup of organic cocoa butter
  • ½ organic coconut oil
  • 10 drops of vitamin E oils

In a double boiler, melt the cocoa butter. When it is liquid, add the coconut oil and mix. Remove from heat, add vitamin E and mix. Pour the mixture into a bowl and let stand for 10 minutes at room temperature, then in the refrigerator for 1h30.

The mixture can be stored at room temperature for up to 6 months, or in the refrigerator for up to 1 year. Warning : it is not compatible with latex and polyisoprene condoms.

These homemade lubricants you should never use

There are a number of lubricant alternatives that should never be used under any circumstances. Here is the list :

  • Saliva : It has no lubricating power. It evaporates very easily and will not make your intercourse easier, on the contrary. On the contrary, it could even dry out your mucous membranes. In addition, the use of saliva as a lubricant could increase the transmission of STDs.
  • Vaseline: Derived from petroleum, petroleum jelly should be banned. It can cause infections and vaginal illnesses.
