Gradient disc wall decor

Time: 1 p.m. / Level: medium

Material :

1 wooden pencil

1 string

1 thumbtack

1 brush

Satin cream paint “Grapefruit” and “Spring Yellow” (Dulux Valentine)

1 round brush to fill in

1 small roll

1 masking tape

4 wooden shelves

1. Determine the location of the circle on your wall, making sure to place it at eye level. Trace it using a pencil, attached to a string pinned to the center of the imagined circle, as if you had a compass.

2. Paint around the circle with the lightest color, with a round brush to fill in. Then with a roller, paint the inside of the circle with this same shade. Leave to dry for 6 hours.

3. Draw two horizontal lines separated by a width equal to one third of the diameter of the circle. Apply masking tape to mark off this central area. Paint it with a stronger yellow. Let dry. Remove the tape before complete drying.

4. Cut the wooden shelves to size. Paint the two small ones and one large one light yellow and one large one dark yellow. Attach them as in the photo.

Variation: a graphic arch

You can create an arch to highlight a console, a desk, etc. Draw two parallel lines then the arc of a circle. Paint the interior in a dark tone, here Dulux Valentine “Emerald Matte” color cream.

Trick : for a more intense color, apply two coats of paint spaced 6 hours apart.
