How to recharge your Navigo pass with your Android smartphone or iPhone
Recharging a Navigo pass with an iPhone or Android smartphone is child’s play. To achieve this, you must have a smartphone compatible with NFC technology. All iPhones from iPhone 7 are eligible, as well as almost all Android devices for 10 years.
Compatible applications: IDF Mobilités (formerly Navigo Connect) and SNCF Connect
Several applications make it possible to achieve the feat, but the best is to favor IDF Mobilities (App Store / Play Store), the official RATP application. The app SNCF Connect (App Store / Play Store) also allows you to recharge a pass, if you already have it and you don’t want to install an additional application.
- If you use IDF Mobilities (formerly Navigo Connect), go to the section Purchase at the bottom of the app.
- If you use SNCF Connectchoose the tab Tickets and select the option Ile-de-France.

Note that you will only be able to recharge one of the most recent Navigo passes (from the one released in 2014 purple and silver, then its blue evolution).

During a meeting with Numerama in 2022, the management of IdF Mobilités announced the deployment of the dematerialized pass on all Android smartphones. The concept is the same as for reloading a physical pass (we go through the same application), except that the virtual titles are loaded directly onto the smartphone. Just pass it on the terminal (but not all titles are available yet).
All you have to do is buy tickets on the IdF Mobilités application and pass your smartphone over the terminal. The titles available in this way are as follows:

How to have your Navigo card on your iPhone?
What about the iPhone? This time, everything depends on Apple, which is actively testing the solution from its Californian laboratories. For the moment, it is not possible to replace a Navigo card with an iPhone. Other cities, such as Lyon, accept the iPhone as a means of paying for the metro directly at the terminals to enter the platforms, thanks to Apple Pay.
When will the Navigo pass be available on iPhone (Apple Wallet)?
By summer 2023, it should be possible to buy a Navigo pass on iPhone from Apple Wallet Or IdF Mobilités.
In the meantime, recharging a Navigo card with the NFC chip of your iPhone is the most modern solution.
