What is a registered letter?
Posting a registered letter allows the sender to receive a deposit receipt at the post office. The latter is an element with legal value which acts as proof of sending or receiving documents, especially if they are important. It serves as a dated and indisputable written record in special cases such as the termination of a lease, the contestation of a court or administrative decision, or the exchange of documents with organizations for example.

How to post registered mail?
To do this, all they need to do is put their letter in a stamped envelope or ready to mail and drop it off at the post office. Note that it is now possible to do this online. On site, a receipt will be given to you against signature. The mail will then be sent to its recipient and delivered by hand. He must also sign a proof of delivery attesting that he has received the shipment. If he were absent, the post employee will leave a delivery note before depositing the mail in a post office where the concerned will have to go to recover it within 15 days with the original of his identity papers.
Is the recommended sufficient?
Mailing registered mail does not guarantee that it will arrive at its destination and does not notify you that it has been received. This is why the Post has also implemented systems insurance of your shipments. You can have them compensated if they are valuable content in the event of loss or damage during transport. It's up to you to choose the amount based on what your mail contains. To receive proof that your package has been received, you can attach a receipt that the recipient signs and which is returned to you by post as proof.
