This Sunday, August 21, the HBO channel is launching House of the Dragonthe long-awaited spin-off of the series Game Of Thrones. The first of the ten episodes that will count the series will be broadcast this Sunday, August 21, 2022 in the United States. It will be offered in France on the night of August 21 to 22, at 3 a.m.
After the end of the series Game Of Thrones in 2019, an end that continues to make a lot of ink flow even today, the American channel HBO launched several spin-offs. The first of them to emerge, House of the Dragonis not a sequel to the now cult series, but a prequel, which happens 200 years before the events of the original series.
HBO continues to explore the world created by author George RR Martin, and is once again adapting a novel by him, Fire and Blood (released in two parts in 2018) for television. Fire and Blood, in its original version, plunges the reader into the heart of the story of the Targaryen family, from which Daenerys comes, one of the most famous characters of the original series. The story therefore takes place several hundred years before the events of Game Of Thronesand has as its main subject the Dance of the Dragons, an uncompromising civil war at the heart of House Targaryen.
