Qualified Tuesday evening during the semi-final, Ukraine will be present for the grand final of Eurovision on Saturday evening. First on stage, where the country attacked by Russia will be represented by the Kalush Orchestra group. But also in the country itself, where the program will be commented by the local Stéphane Bern, live from a bunker.

Eurovision takes place on Saturday evening. And the international singing competition will be commented on, even in Ukraine. A Ukrainian presenter, at war since the start of the Russian invasion, will host the evening from a bunker. Timur Miroshnychenko, the Ukrainian Stéphane Bern, has been commentating on the competition for 15 years. And it’s not the war that’s going to stop him this year. In its bunker, it benefits from an installation made up of three studios and a control room, all capable of transmitting even in the event of a bombardment. The location of the bunker is obviously not known, for security reasons.

The favorite Ukrainian group of the competition

On Tuesday evening, Timur Miroshnychenko already commented, from this TV studio like no other, on the first semi-final which saw Ukraine qualify for the grand final on Saturday evening. As the founding country of the competition, France is automatically qualified each year for the last stage. The representatives of Ukraine, the group Kalush Orchestra, are also the favorites of the competition.

In France, Eurovision will be broadcast on France 2, Saturday evening from 9 p.m. It is the Breton group Alvan & Ahez which will defend the colors of our country in Turin. Italy is hosting the competition this year, after the victory in 2021 of its rock group Måneskin.
