Howard Carpendale: His current tour is so ambitious

On Tuesday evening, Howard Carpendale (74) kicked off the tour for his concert series "The Show of My Life" in the Rostock City Hall. In front of 2,800 spectators, he marked his 50th anniversary on stage with songs like "Hello Again" or "Saturday Night". Carpendale performed his first song in the midst of the audience and thanked her for her loyalty over the years: "Without you I would not be here after these 50 years and could not share my most personal show with you."

Carpendale is accompanied by a 20-piece band, including strings and brass. And the 74-year-old entertainer shows athletic endurance on stage. After three hours and several encores, the South African ended his first of 18 concerts with a song from his current CD "The Symphony of My Life".

The tour will take Carpendale through Germany until mid-May and for an appointment also to Austria. In Berlin the singer will be on stage four times: on Thursday (January 30th), Friday (January 31st), Saturday (February 1st) and Sunday (February 2nd) he will play in the Verti Music Hall in the capital. For the concerts on January 30th and 2.2. there are also cards.
