(Boursier.com) — HP Inc. warned last night of a slowdown in business spending, but its chief executive Enrique Lores still sees long-term PC demand above pre-pandemic levels. For its third fiscal quarter just ended, the group posted adjusted earnings per share of $1.04, close to analysts’ expectations, against $1 a year earlier. Revenue totaled $14.7 billion, missing market consensus by 5%, and comparing with a level of $15.3 billion a year earlier. For the just-started fiscal 2022 fourth quarter, HP forecasts GAAP diluted earnings per share in the range of 44 to 54 cents, as well as adjusted EPS of 79 to 89 cents. The Californian group from Palo Alto is finally reducing its annual profit forecasts, with the drop in demand for PCs and printers, especially among consumers.
