HPI on TF1: did you spot the error that slipped into episode 3 of season 2?

Some Internet users have noticed that a small script error had slipped into episode 3 of season 2 of HPI, broadcast last Thursday on TF1. Did you notice it?

Since Thursday May 12, HPI has been back on TF1 for its long-awaited season 2. And as with the first opus, which broke all the channel’s audience records, the new episodes of the police comedy carried by Audrey Fleurot and Mehdi Nebbou continue to fascinate viewers.

Episode 3, broadcast this Thursday, May 19 at 9:10 p.m., thus brought together more than 8 million curious people in front of their television screen, representing an audience share of 37.2%. And if the spectators were there, some of them did not fail to notice that a small scriptwriting error had slipped into the first episode of the evening.

In “Made in France”, Morgane and Karadec investigate a cold box 50-year-old, who leads them to a strip bar. They question the manager of the establishment, Madame Sarah (Sylvie Granotier), in order to find out more about her links with the woman killed 50 years ago and with her friend who has just been murdered.

In a flashback, narrated in voice-over by the manager, we can see Tulipe and Coco, the two women now deceased, dancing on stage to the sound of I Feel Love by Donna Summer. It was an RTL journalist, Steven Bellery, who noticed on Twitter that a small error had slipped into this sequence.

The murder of cold box took place 50 years ago, in 1972. However, Donna Summer’s song was released on July 2, 1977… 5 years after the fact! An error that seems to have escaped super inspector Morgane Alvara during her interrogation.

The new season 2 of HPI can be found every Thursday evening from 9:10 p.m. on TF1. All episodes are already available on Salto.
