Huawei Band 7 activity bracelet, thinner and lighter, launched in China at a low price

Thinner and lighter, the new Huawei Band 7 has arrived. In China for the moment, with a still aggressive price and technical characteristics close to version 6 released a year ago.

Following an annual renewal rate, the Huawei Band 7 was expected and presents itself as expected in this spring period conducive to a resurgence of sports activity, and therefore to the use of sensors to monitor our physical activity and our health.

Huawei’s connected bracelet focuses on lightness and thinness this year, with the previous version having introduced a larger screen still present on the Huawei Band 7. A 1.47 “Amoled touch screen still occupies a large part from the polymer case front and curved-edge glass, with the dimensions of the Band 7 (44.35 x 26 x 9.99 mm) being close to those of the Band 6 (43 x 25.4 x 10.99 mm) We observe above all a thinning of 1 mm, making the whole thing pass under the bar of one centimeter in thickness. The Huawei Band 7 is lightened in passing by 2 g to reach 16 g (case alone, excluding bracelet).

The other technical characteristics do not seem to evolve, the Band 7 still displaying an autonomy of up to two weeks, according to Huawei, and recharging via a magnetic connector. There is also 5 ATM water resistance. On the sensor side, accelerometer, gyroscope, SpO2 sensor and optical heart rate sensor are included, the latter working in concert with Huawei’s TruSeen 4.0 technology, already used for the Band 6. Hopefully, however, progress has been made in this area. accuracy of heart rate measurement. Monitoring stress (TruRelax) and sleep (TruSleep 2.0) as well as the menstrual cycle are also on the program.

On the sports side, we find the 96 exercise modes already offered by the Band 6. The Band 7 also remains devoid of a GPS chip and therefore requires the use of a smartphone to record the routes in the case of a race. foot or bicycle, for example.

The Huawei Band 7 is available in four colors: black, red, green and pink and is displayed at the same price as the Band 6, or 269 yuan on the official Huawei website (around €38 excluding tax). The Huawei Band 6 was launched at €59.99 in France. We can therefore expect an equivalent price for the Band 7 when it is likely to be released in France, on a date still unknown.
