Designed for sports, teleworking and more generally all users looking for headphones to enjoy their music without losing contact with the world around them, the FreeClip put their surprising design at the service of unique ergonomics.

Don’t let appearances fool you, the style of Huawei’s new FreeClip earphones, which resembles ear jewelry, is not just for aesthetic purposes. Indeed, this innovative and distinctive design serves a specific purpose in terms of ergonomics and audio quality. To mark their launch, Huawei is offering its latest Huawei Band 8 connected bracelet until January 31, 2024 with the purchase of a pair of FreeClips (available in black or purple).

An atypical design serving ergonomics

The FreeClips don’t look at all like the Bluetooth headphones that are flooding the market. Their open design which leaves the ears free has been designed for people who do not appreciate the intrusive side of in-ear models and wish to remain attentive to their environment. All without compromising on audio quality.

A technical tour de force which explains this very particular design in three parts. The acoustic ball which encloses the speaker rests at the entrance to the ear canal. It is connected by a “C-bridge” to a bean-shaped element which fits behind the ear without exerting pressure. Thanks to a sensor, the system automatically adjusts the tightness for a stable and comfortable fit. Each earbud weighs just 5.6 grams, which is lighter than some popular high-end Bluetooth models.

An enveloping but not intrusive sound

Huawei FreeClip combines two special audio technologies: a 10.8mm dual-magnet driver
coupled with a sound wave inversion system which controls intelligent volume adjustment to avoid sound loss. The whole thing immerses the listener in its music without cutting them off from the outside world.

An asset for all athletes who want to be able to hear traffic noise when training outside. The FreeClips are also resistant to water, dust and sweat (IP54). They are also the first headphones on the market to be interchangeable. No more paying attention to placing the right earbud and the earbud in the correct ear. We also find all the refinements of high-end headphones: touch interface, multipoint connection, audio sharing, microphones dedicated to phone calls with processing of parasitic sounds by an AI.

Marathon autonomy

This atypical design also allows the FreeClip to include a large capacity battery which gives them a very long battery life of 8 hours on a single charge and up to 36 hours cumulatively with the USB-C box. Ideal longevity for a full day mixing music, video streaming, phone calls and a workout. Moreover, the Huawei Band 8 connected bracelet offered with the purchase of FreeClip (offer valid until January 31, 2024) is an ideal complement for athletes who want to monitor their efforts.
