Deprived of Google mobile services since 2019, Huawei continues to develop its product catalog despite everything. Smartphones are still present there, even if they are increasingly rare, and there is a wide choice of connected bracelets and watches. These are connected to the smartphone, Huawei brand or from the competition, through an application allowing health monitoring. It naturally bears the name of Huawei Health (or Health in English) on the download portals.
As GSMArena points out and as we’ve also seen, the app has now disappeared from the Play Store; it nevertheless remains available on the Samsung Galaxy Store or on the Apple App Store. It must be said that Huawei prefers to promote the adoption of its in-house download portal, the AppGallery, through which users of the brand’s bracelets can download Health, and above all benefit from regular updates. On the Play Store, there hasn’t been any since 2020… Those who do not wish to install the AppGallery and are not equipped with either Samsung or Apple can still go through alternative application stores Pure APK type, as is already the case for the AI Life application (dedicated to Huawei headphones), also absent from the Play Store.
It should be remembered that the novelties follow one another quickly in the department of Huawei watches, the Watch Ultimate having just been tested in our laboratories, and the Watch Buds preparing for its arrival. True wireless headphones, the Freebuds 5i, have also recently been available in Europe. On the smartphone side, however, the P60 series is still long overdue…
