Huawei will soon introduce the Mate 50. After the end of the partnership with Leica, special attention is paid to the camera. A leaker now provides details about this.
Huawei plans to unveil the Mate 50 in early September. It will be the manufacturer’s first top smartphone since 2016 that has to do without a Leica camera. Therefore, of course, the eyes are increasingly focused on the camera of the mobile phone. A leak now provides the first details about this.
The mostly reliable insider Digital Chat Station reports on his Weibo account that the Mate 50 will use a 50-megapixel sensor from Sony as the main camera. To be more precise, it should be the 1/1.5 inch IMX766.
The main camera is said to be supported by a telephoto lens with 3x, 3.5x and 5x optical zoom. The IMX688 should also be a Sony sensor. We will find out whether Digital Chat Station is right when the Mate 50 is launched on September 6th.
