Huawei will draw a new foldable smartphone called Mate Xs 2. A presentation date has also been announced.
Clearly dominated by Samsung thanks to its Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip, the foldable smartphone market has consolidated with several other players such as Vivo and Oppo. Before them, a certain Huawei had already placed his pawns, and this from 2019 with the famous Huawei Mate X, big star of the MWC 2019.
With its outward-facing folding system, this device stood out from the first Galaxy Z Fold of the name. In 2020, the Chinese brand continued its offensive through the Mate Xs, which took up the philosophy of its predecessor, but with a reinforced hinge and a better screen.

The year 2021 was marked by the introduction of the Huawei Mate X2, the design of which departed considerably from its predecessors. This phone has this time opted for an inward folding, like the Galaxy Z Fold. In this 2022 vintage, and given the company’s cruising speed, a new product is inevitably expected.
It is therefore not surprising to see Huawei announce an official event dedicated to a certain… Mate Xs 2. The group posted a publication on the Weibo social network, where the date of April 28, 2022 is mentioned in particular. Without knowing more at the time of writing these lines.

But we can inevitably ask ourselves the following question: will this Huawei Mate Xs 2 follow in the footsteps of the Mate X2 or return to its youthful loves by bending outwards?
