I’Huawei’s HarmonyOS ecosystem
continues to get richer, as the manufacturer showed us on February 27 at the MWC 2022
. From now on, users will no longer have to juggle the ecosystems of their laptop
and their smart phone
thanks to the “Super Connectivity” mode of the Huawei Smart Office.

At the start of the presentation of its new range of Huawei MateBook X Pro and MateBook E laptops, its new tablets, and in particular the imposing MatePad Paper e-reader, the Chinese manufacturer discussed at length the strengthening of the HarmonyOS ecosystem.

Huawei unveils its Super Connectivity mode

According to Huawei, users’ experience is often fragmented between their laptops for work and their smartphones for entertainment. Also, the manufacturer aims to offer a unique experience thanks to its HarmonyOS ecosystem, and to facilitate collaboration between the different devices. In this sense, the work is fairly well underway.

Available on Huawei PCs, the Super Connectivity mode is accessible from the Huawei PC Manager, through the ” drag-to-connect “. In the latter, a simple click-and-drag from the symbol of the smartphone to that of the PC makes it possible to link the two devices, wirelessly.

The smartphone then appears as an external drive on the computer. The user can easily access the files on the phone as if it were an external storage drive by simply using the Windows File Explorer interface.

Huawei PC Manager update is coming

Thanks to this easy pairing mode, Huawei PCs can automatically recognize and connect to other wireless Bluetooth devices such as headphones, speakers, keyboards and mice or even printers.

Huawei also presented “Super Multitasking”, a mode that allows you to use your smartphone in multi-screen mode, the interface of the device then being displayed on the PC. The latter can also open up to three applications simultaneously to perform several tasks at the same time.

All this is just the beginning, and the “Super Connectivity” mode is not reserved for new laptops from Huawei. Its support will indeed extend to the manufacturer’s older models thanks to an update to the Huawei PC Manager. The number of supported devices will continue to grow to provide the best possible user experience.
