With the Watch D, Huawei has introduced a new smartwatch that has a number of health functions. Blood pressure, blood oxygen and body temperature can be checked precisely and even an electrocardiogram (EKG) is possible. There are also many sport modes.

Huawei has presented the Watch D. The intelligent watch wants to convince with many health functions and offers an electrocardiogram for this. The manufacturer has received approval for this, at least for the Chinese market. But apart from the ECG, the smartwatch can check many of the wearer’s body values, analyze and prepare graphically.
Huawei speaks of high-performance sensors that were built into the Watch D. These can be the Measure body temperature and blood pressure. For the latter function, the manufacturer has thought of tiny air cushions that inflate at the push of a button. The smartwatch can measure blood oxygen as well as stress values. If necessary, sleep is also monitored.

According to Huawei, the Watch D can do without a new battery charge for seven days. However, the manufacturer does not provide precise information on the capacity. It looks different with the display: The AMOLED touch screen has a diagonal of 1.64 inches and has a resolution of 456 × 280 pixels.
GPS and NFC are included with the waterproof and dustproof watch. Bluetooth 5.1 is available for the connection to the smartphone. In addition to iOS and Android, Huawei’s HarmonyOS 2 is also supported.
In China, the Watch D will be available from December 25, 2021 at a price of the equivalent of around 415 euros. Huawei has not provided any information about a publication in Europe.
