Huge changes to Caldera in Warzone

Warzone Season 4 arrives June 22, featuring the all-new Good Fortune map. But that’s not all, as the developers have revealed the major changes that will be made to Caldera.

Warzone’s Caldera map has seen significant changes since its arrival in December 2020. With the introduction of Redeploy Balloons, Underground Transport System, lighting overhaul and new POIs, the map is fundamentally different from what it was at launch.

Although much of the hype surrounding Season 4 is about the new Good Fortune map, Raven Software isn’t letting Caldera gather dust. While discussing Season 3 with CharlieIntel, Warzone Director Ted Timmins announced that Season 4 would bring “one of the biggest changes Caldera has seen since launch”.

With the new Season just around the corner, the developers of Warzone have revealed the Caldera that we’ll see in Season 4.

Caldera Map Changes in Warzone Season 4

Activision revealed the new Caldera map on June 15, indicating that there will be “new micro-points of interest”, “secret underground vaults for mercenaries” and 50% less vegetation for better visibility.

You can check out the full map in the image below, where players quickly spotted a fan-favorite Verdansk location.

Verdansk’s Storage Town has now spawned southwest of the Mines, replacing the ancient ruins that were there before.

This is probably one of the micro POIs mentioned in the tweet.

For now, we just have to wait to see the “many other surprises” what the developers have in store for us and which we hope will be detailed in the roadmap before the launch of Season 4.
