The Huawei MateView GT 34 not only offers a curved display, but also an extra wide aspect ratio of 21:9. The resolution is 3,440 x 1,440 pixels, which corresponds to Ultra Wide QHD. Connections are 1x DisplayPort and 2x HDMI.
Huawei markets the model as a gaming monitor, but it is also ideal as an all-rounder. Such a monitor can make sense, especially in office use, because two windows can easily fit side by side – and due to the aspect ratio of 21:9, it is predestined for video editing or wide Excel spreadsheets.
Our assessment:
The features of the monitor are okay, the price is fair. We didn’t have this particular model in the test, but we did have the sister model with an integrated soundbar, which is currently also available (view at Amazon). The image quality is okay, but the monitor is particularly convincing thanks to a high refresh rate of 165 Hz and G-Sync.
