It’s unfortunate, but it’s not all good news during this Summer Game Fest 2023. One of the most anticipated Xbox exclusive games from the Xbox Showcase has claimed that it will not be part of the game. But there is a very good reason for this.
There are a lot of announcements during this Summer Game Fest 2023 and yet it’s only just begun. After a big party on June 8, presented by good old Geoff Keighley, it’s Microsoft and its Xbox Showcase, followed by a live show centered on Starfield, which must make the show. Moreover, the green mark is expected at the turn. Its exclusives are rare, most have been pushed back, and while gamers love Xbox Game Pass, they’re all getting a little tired of waiting for exclusives. Unfortunately, for some, they are not at the end of their troubles.
One less Xbox exclusive for the Showcase
Yes, it’s sad, but it will miss one of the big titles expected from this Xbox Showcase. It’s STALKER 2, the Ukrainian FPS that keeps running into trouble. In the first place, it is obviously the terrible war which came to scar the country which forced the developers to review their plan. This was followed by attacks by alleged Russian hackers, who stole a good part of the game codes, assets and a whole host of other things which quickly ended up on the net.
However, the GSC studio did not let go, not only did they stand up straight despite the events, but in addition, they continued development at all costs. STALKER 2 is certainly one of the most anticipated games on Xbox Series and PC, but unfortunately, we will have to wait, both to play it and to see it. One of the studio’s Community Managers has indeed claimed that the game will not be present at the next Xbox Showcase. A hard blow for the fans, but GSC has good reasons so it’s not so bad after all!
Usually we don’t say whether or not we are at the events, but this time we will make an exception. STALKER 2 will be without conferences in June and prefers to make big announcements in the months to come.
