Hugh Grant: He'd be a "creepy bachelor" without his five kids

Film star Hugh Grant, who is now 60, has five young children. That may be exhausting – but it was also a rescue.

The British actor Hugh Grant ("The Gentlemen"), who turned 60 on September 9th, knows exactly who to thank for his blissful life. He has had five late children in the past nine years – two with ex-partner Tinglan Hong and three more with his wife Anna Eberstein, with whom he has been married since 2018. It is thanks to them that Grant has not degenerated into a "creepy, old, golf-dependent bachelor", the actor said in an interview with the British "Daily Mail".

This is exactly how he felt increasingly before he became a father for the first time at the tender age of 51. All the happier he is to have just escaped this fate. However, being a father of five is not easy: "It is extremely exhausting to try to be a young father in the body of an old man (…) But it is absolutely worth it." Often he even got the compliment of having become a better actor in the past ten years – "and I sometimes think that it could be because of the children".
