Hugh Grant: His comedies are not for his wife

Hugh Grant enjoys cult status for his roles in romantic comedies. However, his wife doesn't like his old films.

Fans worldwide begin to languish when they see Hugh Grant (60) in romantic comedies such as "Notting Hill", "Bridget Jones – Chocolate for Breakfast" or "A Chef to Fall in Love with". His wife Anna Eberstein, with whom he has been married since 2018 and has three children together, cannot do much with her husband's comedies, as he has now revealed on the US show "Late Night with Seth Meyers".

The woman is the man in the house

"My wife is the man in our house. She likes violent films, gangster films while I sit there and watch 'Roman Holiday', 'Sound of Music' or something like that," explains the British actor in the video interview. Grant explains, "That's why she never liked the films I made in the past".

But that has changed a bit in the meantime. "Now she's got a taste for it and she liked the show, I have to say," says Grant. The actor speaks of the HBO format "The Undoing". She doesn't particularly like him, but Grant's colleague Ismael Cruz Córdova (33). You almost fell in love with the role of actor – and that of Édgar Ramírez (43).
