They have been married since 1996, but now the couple has announced their separation. Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness are getting divorced.
In a statement available to the US magazine “People”, Hugh Jackman, 54, and Deborra-Lee Furness, 67, confirm their separation. Both are grateful for the years they spent together, but they have decided together to go their separate ways from now on, they say

“We were blessed to spend almost three decades as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. We have decided to separate in order to move forward individually,” the couple explained in their joint statement. It continues: “Our family has always been and will always be our top priority. We approach this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness. We greatly appreciate your respecting our privacy as our family makes this transition into all of us Life masters.”
27 years of marriage, two adult children
The Australian couple have been married since 1996 and have spent almost three decades together. Jackman and Furness have two children together, Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18. The “Wolverine” star and his wife last attended the MET Gala together in May of this year and appeared at the event in couple style. It is not known whether they were already separated at the time.
