Hugh Jackman is starving for Deadpool 3. After shoveling in calories last year, it’s now time to go on a diet.

A good year ago he was stuffing himself with calories, now it is Hugh Jackman (55) arrived in the starvation phase. The actor is currently preparing for his appearance as Wolverine in Deadpool 3. For the first time since 2017 he plays the steeled superhero again.

In an Instagram story, Hugh Jackman shared his diet with his fans. In one picture, the Australian holds a small bowl into the camera containing two thin slices of fish and some broccoli. Another photo even shows just a piece of fish with some green asparagus. In picture number three it is broccoli with cottage cheese.

Just over a year ago it was 8,000 calories a day

What a culinary contrast to March 2023. Ten months ago, Hugh Jackman posted pictures of the muscle building phase. The “X-Men” mime had to consume 8,000 calories a day in his body. Jackman says he devoured so much chicken in preparation for “Deadpool 3” that he felt it necessary to go public apologize to all vegans, vegetarians and chickens in the world. The muscles have now apparently built up and the weight now has to be maintained.

Filming for “Deadpool 3” began in May 2023. The strike by the actors’ union SAG-AFTRA caused an interruption, but filming has resumed since November 2023. The third part about the antihero played by Jackman’s friend Ryan Reynolds (47) is scheduled to start in US cinemas on July 26, 2024.

Hugh Jackman first extended Wolverine’s adamantium claws in “X-Men” (2000). He played the hero with self-healing powers in five more “X-Men” films and in a solo trilogy.
