Human strengths that help in every crisis

Empty supermarket shelves, corona parties, people sitting comfortably in the café while our government is closing schools and borders – admittedly, such behavior doesn't exactly speak For Humanity … But let's start with a shock and reflect on our abilities and strengths, which we have to counter the corona pandemic – because thanks to them we will survive the crisis together as best we can!

6 human strengths, thanks to which we survive every crisis

1. Creativity

It prevents us from going insane in quarantine, allows us to find ways and means to continue our lives in the best possible way despite the circumstances, and will also help us get back on our feet after the pandemic – creativity and creativity are among ours anyway most valuable skills. In a crisis, they become jewels.

2. Flexibility

Last week we went to the office every day, all of a sudden we have to work in the home office and take care of our children ourselves – isn't it absolutely amazing how we change and adapt from one day to the next? Okay, it is certainly difficult at the beginning and whining is also allowed in this situation. But we all adapt to the circumstances, get used to it and make the best of it – and we can be proud of this flexibility and adaptability.

3. Optimism

Our optimism prevents us from falling into panic and depression. We reflect on the bright spots in the corona crisis and even see opportunities in it. That's right! Because the virus can cost and take a lot from us – but not our hope, love, joie de vivre and humor.

4. Solidarity

We are now sticking together, following the recommendations of the experts, for example staying away from each other, and we will stick together when it comes to responding to the consequences of the pandemic. This solidarity saved our butts after climate catastrophes and wars, enabled various reunions of divided states – and the corona virus also helps us to survive.

5. Confidence

In a crisis like this, it is extremely helpful that most people are able to reflect on their behavior and take care of themselves! Thanks to our self-confidence, we find a balance between healthy selfishness and self-care and consideration for others – although at the moment both go hand in hand more than usual out of recklessness and carelessness contagious, contributes to the fact that the situation worsens, endangers others – and is partly responsible for it when people die. Fortunately, we have self-confidence and understand the role we all play in this situation.

6. Reason

The fact that we are reasonable beings is evident in all of our actions and abilities, but our reason now also allows us to properly prioritize and make wise decisions. Researchers around the world are working to develop vaccines and medicines for the virus. In the meantime, politicians are closing borders, public institutions, and proclaiming a state of emergency to slow the spread of the disease. All reasonable, appropriate responses to an extraordinary challenge. It just doesn't matter what about holidays, Easter holidays and jobs. Coping with the crisis and limiting damage is a priority. We owe that we are aware of this to our reason.

The corona crisis costs us all a lot – but it gives us the chance to show strength and to prove ourselves as good people. Let's use them!
