Hunger Games: which French singer speaks to Jennifer Lawrence in one of the films of the saga?

Incredible but true: David Hallyday, Johnny Hallyday’s son, makes an appearance in the credits of the fourth installment of the “Hunger Games” saga! In a very short scene, the French singer even speaks to the character of Katniss…

If you’ve seen Hunger Games – Mockingjay: Part 2, the fourth installment of the famous SF saga adapted from the novels of Suzanne Collins, then you may have noticed the screen presence of David Hallyday, Johnny’s son. Because yes, the French singer makes a short appearance in the film, where he even has the privilege of speaking to Katniss Everdeen, the heroine played by Jennifer Lawrence!

David Hallyday has less than 10 seconds on screen in Hunger Games 4. The singer appears precisely after 1h40 of film: we discover him in the shoes of a Panem guard, watching the front door of the greenhouse of white roses in which President Coriolanus Snow (Donald Sutherland) is locked up. His character, when he sees Katniss arriving, tells her that he can’t let her in. The proof below!

The scene in which David Hallyday is illustrated was shot in France, at the Château de Voisins, located in the town of Saint-Hilarion in the Yvelines. A building that is regularly used as a filming location, mostly for French productions, in particular a big popular success of the year 2018. But a building that has therefore also seduced the Hollywood teams of Hunger Games 4.

“I was so against it!” Jennifer Lawrence accepted Hunger Games to better torpedo the saga

It should be noted that this experience is not the first across the Atlantic for David Hallyday! The French singer had indeed starred in the American comedy He’s My Girl, released in theaters in 1987.

On screen, David Hallyday also distinguished himself, in his own role, in the credits of Grosse fatigue by Michel Blanc, and lent his voice to the main character of the Disney animated film Treasure Planet, a new universe. Finally, note that he has just shot an episode of Capitaine Marleau, the detective series led by Corinne Masiero and broadcast on France 2.
