THE Weekly Shōnen Jump gave birth to many cult works, some still in progress like the indefatigable One Piece or the one that interests us now, Hunter × Hunter. If Yoshihiro Togashi’s manga was launched barely a year after that of Eiichirō Oda, it only includes 37 volumes and 10 additional pre-published chapters, the fault of the deplorable health conditions of its author, who even went so far as to recently revealed a possible ending in the event that he dies prematurely… Fans around the world are obviously hoping to find out what happens next and any content is worth waiting for. Well, good news, a new video game was made official on the occasion of the Jump Festa 2024 taking place this weekend !
It’s around a simple Press release currently showing nothing of this production, only Bushiroad Games announced that a fighting game Hunter x Hunter is under development on the side of eighty. Yes, the mere mention of this studio is reassuring, because it is known to be behind Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds and recently participated in the design of DNF DUEL. To find out more, the wait will be short, because more details will be revealed during the presentation for the new year of Bushiroad January 6, 2024.
No platform is mentioned, but the simple fact of mentioning a “large-scale fighting game” and the history of the studio suggest a release on consoles and/or PC rather than on smartphones. In recent years, the license has been entitled to several releases on iOS and Android with Hunter × Hunter: Greed Adventure, Hunter × Hunter: Arena Battle and one Action RPG simply titled Hunter × Hunter in some Asian territories, as well as an appearance in Jump Force (from which the article thumbnail is taken).
You can find the different volumes of the manga at the price of €7.10 each. on Amazon Or to the Fnac.
