Last month, during the Jump Festa 2024, Bushiroad Games took the opportunity to announce a fighting game in the universe of Hunter × Hunterwithout further details except that it is developped by eighty. We then had an appointment this Saturday, January 6 to find out a little more about him during a presentation for the group’s new year. So it was this night that was broadcast the first trailer for what we will now have to call Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact, which asks many more questions than it reveals information to us.
Indeed, this thirty-second teaser simply introduces six characters who should therefore appear in the roster from Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact, namely Gon Freecss, Killua Zoldik, Kurapika, Leorio Paradinaito, Isaac Netero And Hisoka Morowwhich are done in an arena reminiscent of the Heavenly Tower. Everything suggests that we will be dealing with clashes in 3v3, but nothing suggests the precise nature of these fights. Will it be 2D games like Dragon Ball FighterZ Or Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds (from the same developer for the latter)? Let’s hope so, because yet another 3D fighting game in an arena would disappoint more than one person.
The character models, although representative, suggest that the allocated budget is nothing extraordinary. Finally, no platform has yet been announced, so there’s always the possibility that it’s just a mobile game. All that remains is to wait for more details and cross your fingers that it will be a pleasant surprise.
