According to SRF Meteo, there were gusts of wind of 148 kilometers per hour on Mount Pilatus. Values ​​over 100 kilometers per hour were also measured on the Uetliberg, Napf, Chasseral, Le Moléson, Bantiger, Hörnli and Titlis.

In the Steckborn TG on Lake Constance, the wind blew strongest in the lowlands at 95 kilometers per hour.

The storm is also having an impact on traffic. For example, the car ferry on Lake Constance between Romanshorn and Friedrichshafen in Germany has ceased operations and the train to the Uetliberg in Zurich is currently not running either.

On the route Wil SG – Frauenfeld, the train service between Weberei Matzingen and Frauenfeld was stopped for a short time due to the wind. A number of aircraft had difficulties landing at Zurich Airport and had to go around.

Monday prospects

According to SRF Meteo, the storm continues to pick up at low altitudes and reaches its maximum at night. Hurricane gusts must be expected, particularly in the outer Alpine valleys.

According to the SRF weather forecast, there will be fresh snow again from Sunday evening to Monday. Around 20 and sometimes up to 50 cm are expected on the northern flank of the Alps or the Jura heights, but this will be carried away by the strong wind. The avalanche danger remained tense. Snow is possible down to the lowlands on Monday.

In addition, gusts of 70 to 110 km/h are expected in Ticino and in the southern valleys of Graubünden on Monday.
