A few days ago, we learned that Creative Assembly was working on a new game, and that the team behind Alien: Isolation was leading the project. This was revealed through a trailer, this June 22, allowing you to find out more. The Alien license environment is abandoned, to immerse us in a dystopian future, while leaving aside the solo to offer us here a multiplayer experience.
In HYENAS, players will have to team up (five per game) to steal goods from the wealthy, who have found refuge on the planet Mars. To achieve your goals, you will have to use several combat techniques, to bring down drones, but also other players, having the same objective as you. Once you have your hands on the coveted objects from pop culture, you will have to save yourself to win the game.
It would seem that each character, called “HYENA” has unique skills and powers, thus offering a different gameplay depending on which one is chosen. The clashes will be made more complex by gravity, weaker than on Earth. The studio has already indicated that other HYENAs will be added over time. Creative Assembly also clarified that we will not be dealing with a battle royale.
We will find out a bit more about HYENAS in the coming weeks, since an alpha will be organized in particular, on PC. Its release will be on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Series in 2023, without further details at the moment.
