Hyped beauty products: we test old favorites

Sleek Blush Rose Gold

Around three years ago, the sleek blush in rose gold was totally hyped. Why? It was traded as a dupe, a kind of product twin, by the popular Nars Orgasm Blush. After the good piece had been lying in my drawer untouched for about a year, I rummaged it out again. The blush has a fresh shade of pink with gold-colored shimmer particles. In normal daylight, they give the skin a mega fresh glow – actually perfect for spring and summer. In sunlight, however, you can see that there is also glitter in the blush. If you don't really like glow, you probably won't love blush. But if you don't want to use matt products in spring, the Rouge is a great option. It's cheap, well pigmented (but not too good!) And the color actually suits every skin tone. It's fresh! Available at Amazon for around 5 euros.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick Pillow Talk

Since I don't really wear lipstick very often in the winter months, I have now found a few favorites just in time for the beginning of spring. At the forefront: the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick in Pillow Talk. The Matte Revolution lipsticks from Charlotte Tilbury are among the best matte lipsticks I've ever tried. The formulation is matt, but in no way drying out – it just lies lightly on the lips. Orchid extract nourishes the lips softly and provides the necessary moisture – this is what a matt lipstick should be like! Who wants cracked lips? The color Pillow Talk has now achieved absolute cult status – and not without reason. The gentle rosewood tone flatters every skin color and, coupled with the lip liner of the same name, ensures an absolute pout. I'm already looking forward to wearing it again every day!

Micro Brow Pencil eyebrow pencil by NYX

I pull the NYX eyebrow pencil out of my make-up drawer every year at the beginning of spring. Because when the summer approaches, my eyebrows blush again in the blink of an eye. The disadvantage? From a distance it often looks as if my eyebrows have suddenly disappeared – typical blonde problem. Then the eyebrow pencil from NYX comes to the rescue. It is ultra-thin and so precise that it covers even the finest hairs with color and ensures a particularly natural look. Incidentally, it is at least as good as the more expensive version of Anastasia Beverly Hills, but psst … Available from Douglas for around 10 euros.
